Community Descriptions are short health assessments that look at health data specific to the communities within our county. They will include information on a range of health topics that can help inform community planning and action.
We know that different parts of our county experience unique strengths and concerns. In addition to the countywide 2018 Community Health Assessment, the health department is also preparing reports that take a closer look at how health varies by geography within Whatcom County. We’ve used school district boundaries to define the communities.
The draft Community Descriptions below were shared for feedback at the listening sessions shown to the right. We are working to incorporate the feedback we received into final versions of each Community Description. The final reports will be released late fall/early winter 2018.
